Music to watch for: Slaughterhouse

The most highly anticipated rap album of the summer for yours truly comes from the underground super group, Slaughterhouse (Yes, the album has already been pushed back… how did you know?)  Consisting of Crooked I, Royce Da 5′9″, Joell Ortiz, and Joe Budden, they are one of my few hopes for a return to music that doesn’t involve me turning my swag on.  The video (probably NSFW) for their first single, The One, directed by Rik Cordero is below.  I’m no video expert, but it looks very Hangover-ish, with the guys waking up the day after a wild night of debauchery, and they’re now remembering the events.

Now, they probably didn’t need all of the half-naked models…but if that’s the only way to bring the kids in to get them to listen to lyricism? So be it.  Look for Slaughterhouse to drop their album, hopefully, in August.
