NBC’s Chuck goes “Super” for its 3rd season

Yes…we still have to wait until March.

NBC’s Monday night action comedy, Chuck, will see some new faces in their third season. And those faces will be super. According to Michael Ausiello, Kristin Kreuk of Smallville fame and Brandon Routh (Superman…in the Superman movie) will both be joining the cast as love interests for Chuck and Sarah respectively. From EW,

On the heels of Brandon Routh’s casting as a love interest for Sarah comes word that Smallville vet Kristin Kreuk is joining Chuck for multiple episodes as Hannah, a girl Chuck meets on a flight to Paris. “Chuck and Hannah definitely have feelings for each other,” teases an insider.

Laid off from her glamorous publishing job, Hannah ends up working at the Buy More. (I’m sure that won’t prove distracting to the horny nerd herders at all!)

Maybe the addition of these “super friends” will be enough to return Chuck to regular TV status, instead of the 3rd season’s March start date?

More importantly, hopefully the ratings will be good enough to ensure that FULCRUM, Chuck’s new enemy, or those pesky NBC executives doesn’t prevent the show from seeing a 4th season.
