Katherine Heigl is up to her old divalicious tricks. It was reported earlier today on EW.com that Heigl is planning on taking a five episode hiatus from Grey’s Anatomy during the upcoming sixth season to film a romantic comedy. After her many past complaints about hours, scripts, character development etc. I say let her go. Yes it was nice that Izzie and Alex got married blah blah blah but I was ready for her to die most of last season. But no… no death in the script, and somehow it’s T.R. Knight who leaves the show; so not fair. It has yet to be announced just how they are going to explain the five episode disappearance by a dying woman, but I really hope it doesn’t involve another “oh I see Denny everywhere” stint; I can’t take another moment of that. I guess we will all find out together when during the two hour season premiere on Thursday September 24^th 9/8c. (Season previews can be seen at ABC’s website here.)
