OB4CLII: Album of the Decade?
Let’s not beat around the bush. This album is as good as anything made during the height of the Wu and is perhaps the rap album of the decade. Buy it. Spend money on this album. Listen to it and forget every catchy-as-hell but culturally and musically self-destructive song you’ve heard. If I talk the album up too much you might expect perfection. Its not perfect, and we all have different tastes, but trust me – tracks like Catalina, Black Mozart, House of Flying Daggers, and Mean Streets are definitely “the medicine for yo’ sickness” (c) Rza.

The Chef layed out a feast on this one.

Don't know if I'd say album of the decade, but it's definitely in the top 5

The decade is kinda long, so i am sure there is room to argue. I'd say though that given the context of watered down rap game with high expectations for the album, Rae did was most don't - give the fans exactly what they want. perhaps he is helped by the fact that his life may not have changed as much over the years as it did for Nas and Jay. He is still closer to the streets and, maybe, still hungry.

Fair points all.
Though I know I'm in the minority, but I thought Nas' last album was his best since Illmatic.
