I had given up on CBS’s Big Brother a few years back but after seeing a few minutes of season 11’s opening episode, I was hooked again.  There is just something about seeing people who all think that they are a lot smarter and a lot more attractive than they really are locked up in a house together for days and days with the only purpose of strategizing for a game that really takes no strategy at all.  There have been a few moments this season that literally made me laugh out loud, so I thought I would share:

10. Laura’s Boobs – I have not seen a boob job that bad in years; so classy.

9. Casey’s Existence – Is there anything more sad than a forty-something Caucasian wannabe gangster? Nope! The way he dressed, talked, rapped… all classic.

8. Jordan’s Stupidity – Don’t get me wrong, Jordan seems super nice and all but her denseness is sooooo frustrating.  Remember when poor Jeff was trying to help her tell time? The whole ‘quarter till’ thing was just too much for her to handle.  No Jordan, a quarter of sixty is not twenty…

7. Ronnie’s “Strategy” – It was obvious from the very beginning that Ronnie thought that he was a lot smarter than he really was.  But seriously, how can you think that telling multiple people completely conflicting plans and promises daily is really going to work? I was surprised he lasted more than a week.  But it did make for great TV when his “strategy” caused him to have to hide from everyone in his HOH room and cry in front of millions of people.  

6. Russell/Chima Fight – Screaming, yelling, finger pointing, terrorist accusations; what more can you ask for?  If only someone had thrown a punch …

5. Coup d’état – I will choose to pronounce it correctly instead of Jeff’s way: coop day tat.  It’s time for a switch-aroo; not only was the power well used by Jeff, it cause a bunch of really stupid conversation about the “wizard power” and also, in time, caused my number one … stay tuned.

4.  Jeff Not Getting Any – ‘nough said, ha!

3.  Drunken Lydia – Nothing better than downing mimosas during an early morning  HOH competition and stumbling around the BB house yelling, whining, and asking to get evicted. If only she had had the Captain unitard costume on already.

2. Chima’s Flip Out/ Expulsion– I don’t know why Chima thought that it would cool for her to block cameras and not wear her mic on a show that’s whole point is to watch and hear the contestants at all times.  Not only did she break the basic rules, she just about dared production to do something about it on a regular basis.  I guess the situation became too much for production to handle as they watched her throw her mic in the water.  One call from the Omni-voice and poof, Chima disappeared forever.

And the number one reason …. (drum roll please)

1.  Group Cry Around the Kitchen Table – The few minutes after Jessie (yes his name is spells his name with an i-e) was voted off were by far the funniest thing I have ever seen on Big Brother.  Seeing a bunch of pathetic girls bawling around a table over a guy that cared nothing about them was seriously priceless.  All over a guy who played them against one another and took every hookup opportunity possible.  Ah … reality TV at its finest.

So there you have it; why Big Brother is back in my “shows to watch but not tell anyone I watch them” list. No Braden shout outs; he was gone too soon for me to care. Michelle is just boring and too awkward to be interesting. And I know I didn’t mention Kevin anywhere in this post but he’s just so darn lovable and well adjusted.  I hope he wins.
